58 people detained by the GNR last week in the Algarve

Last week, the GNR also seized 122 doses of heroin, 5,92 doses of lime, 34,1 doses of hashish, four cell phones and a vehicle.

58 people were arrested in the last week in the Algarve, announced this Monday, October 3, the GNR. 

Of these 58 arrests, 12 were for driving under the influence of alcohol and 10 for drug trafficking. There were still another 12 for driving without a sign.

Last week, the GNR also seized 122 doses of heroin, 5,92 doses of lime, 34,1 doses of hashish, four cell phones and a vehicle.

As for traffic, there were 653 infractions: 198 for speeding, 61 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 35 for lack or incorrect use of the seat belt and/or child restraint system, 25 for misuse of the mobile phone, 16 for anomalies in the tires, 11 for anomalies in the lighting and signaling systems and 10 for lack of civil liability insurance.

In this period there were still 120 accidents, which resulted in two serious injuries, one death and 35 minor injuries.

Within the scope of awareness-raising actions, 227 people were sensitized within the scope of the Safe School and 142 elderly people within the scope of the Seniors in Safety Program.
