Association 289, located in Pontes de Marchil, in Faro, started this Saturday, June 4th, another Project Room, this time with Samira Rocha occupying the space.
Samira Rocha will be the first artist to show her work in the Project Room, until July 3rd.
The young artist was born in 2000 in Germany, however it was very early on that she immigrated to Portugal. She is a finalist in the Visual Arts Course at the University of Algarve and has been exhibiting her artwork since 2020. With strong surrealist influences, her work is intended to address parts of the emotional world, usually of a negative nature (oppression).
Associação 289 is a non-profit organization whose objective is to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of Visual Arts and other artistic manifestations in the Algarve region, where it is located, but also, whenever possible, throughout the country and in the abroad. This association also intends to defend the interests of its members and artists.
