A monument, alluding to the Navy, will be inaugurated this Thursday, May 19, in the roundabout next to the former Pope 24, in Faro.
It is a «traditional helm wheel», an «emblematic symbol of naval life».
The roundabout is located next to the old Radionaval Station, in Faro.
The inauguration of the monument will be attended by Admiral Henrique Gouveia e Melo, Chief of Staff of the Navy, and Rogério Bacalhau, President of the Chamber of Faro.
The moment is part of the Navy Day celebrations.
