“Easter in Baixa” is the entertainment program that, on the 16th of April, will invite the inhabitants and visitors of Faro strolling through the city centre, enjoying the commercial, leisure and cultural offer.
To sing and dance as a family, a show with “João Violão e Amigos” will be presented at 11 am on Rua de Santo António, whose repertoire revolves around traditional and children's music.
In the late afternoon, at 17 pm, on Rua Vasco da Gama, the concert “Sofia Rodrigues Quarteto” will take place. Sofia Rodrigues, an Algarve jazz singer, will present a repertoire filled with well-known themes from the American songbook, accompanied by guitarist Zé Miguel Vieira, bassist Paulo Strak and drummer Sónia “Little B” Cabrita, for a “journey in jazzy tones”.
“Easter in the Baixa” is a program co-organized by the Commercial Development Association of the Historic Zone of Faro and the City Council of Faro.
