Almancilense asks for support to help former leader in the fight against cancer

Club counts on supporters to raise funds

Ana Luísa Silva, former vice-president of Almancilense, has a brain tumor and “needs financial help for some tests and treatments”. In order to support the former manager, the club is organizing a fundraiser.

«She has already been operated on three times and underwent radiotherapy, but the cancer has grown again and therefore it is necessary to invest in a new method. The next treatment to be done is at Instituto CUF Porto, with a modern machine, the CyberKnife M6. However, there is only one unit of the equipment in the country, and the costs reach 12 thousand euros», explains the Sociedade Recreativa Almancilense in a statement.

According to the club, anyone who wants to help Ana Luísa Silva can do so via bank transfer to IBAN PT50 0033 0000 4561 6258 0950 5 or during the next Almancilense game, which will take place on Saturday, April 23, at Estádio Municipality of Almancil, where donations will be collected.

The former manager was part of the club between 2016 and 2019, and remembers that she sought to invest not only in sports, but also in the social part of Almancilense. «I tried to do everything to raise funds for the club, as well as diversify the offer of Sociedade Recreativa», she explains.
