100 euro vouchers, which can be used at participating stores, will be drawn from those who shop at the local stores in Lagos, between the 1st of December and the 5th of January.
The Câmara de Lagos will invest 7500 euros in the “Christmas in Local Commerce” initiative, carried out in partnership with ACRAL, which “consists of creating incentives for Christmas shopping in the municipality, with the aim of boosting traditional commerce”.
Anyone can participate, as long as they are of legal age, simply by making "purchases, at a minimum value of 10 euros, in participating stores, which will be identified with labels alluding to the initiative and red carpets placed at the door".
For each purchase, the customer will receive one or more participation coupons, at the rate of one coupon for every 10 euros, up to a maximum of fifteen coupons per invoice.
«The coupons, after being duly filled in, must be deposited in the tombola that will be located at the Tourist Office, located in the Old Town Hall building. This is the procedure that enables consumers to earn vouchers of 100 euros for use in participating stores», according to the Câmara de Lagos.
The draw will take place on January 6th with the presence of the entities involved (City Hall, ACRAL and participating shopkeepers).
To join this initiative to boost local commerce, establishments will only have to express this interest to ACRAL and decorate their shop windows according to the Christmas theme.
“Natal no Comércio Local” is one of the components of the program of activities prepared by the municipality of Lacobrigense to mark this festive season.
