The Chamber of Lagos announced this Monday, 15 November, the approval of a cooperation protocol to be established with the Group 173 of the National Scouts Corps (CNE), which also established the annual financial contribution of six thousand euros.

The objective of this partnership is "the creation and operation of a logistical device to support the Integrated System of Protection and Relief Operations (SIOPS)" and aims to "increase the response capacity and levels of readiness of the municipal civil protection structure in activities developed in the territory and with the populations», says the municipality of Lagos.

One of the obligations of the CNE Group 173 will consist in the «provision of means and resources that allow the preparation and transport of food support for the operatives engaged in protection and relief operations in the municipality of Lagos».

Social support to the population, as well as collaboration in information and training actions integrated in the annual awareness-raising plan of the Municipal Civil Protection Service, are other aspects to be worked on within the scope of this partnership.
