DiVaM brings music to the Ermida de Guadalupe and two days of activities to Milreu

On Saturday and Sunday and November 20th

A concert, the ancient music festival Sons D´Aquém Mar and the activities “Sentir Milreu” and “+ Nature, the voice of the trees” are the next suggestions of the DiVaM program for the appreciation of Algarve monuments, scheduled for the Chapel of Our Lady from Guadalupe, in Vila do Bispo, and to the ruins of Milreu, in Faro.

On Saturday, November 13th, there are initiatives planned for both monuments.

Early in the morning, at 10:30 am, Lais de Guia – Cultural Association of Maritime Heritage promotes the sensory visit “Sentir Milreu”, aimed at the blind public, within the scope of the project “PA'mim, PA'ti… Heritage”, in the Roman Ruins of Milreu.

Also on Saturday, in the Ermida de Guadalupe, in Raposeira, at 16 pm, the concert “Música para Todos” will take place, “an ensemble of young musicians, directed by conductor Jorge Macedo, a project by the Sociedade Filarmónica Lacobrigense 00º de Maio », according to the Regional Directorate of Culture of the algarve, which promotes DiVaM.

"The concert features pieces from the Portuguese musical heritage, but without forgetting music from different geographic landscapes, appealing to inclusion, in its most comprehensive concept, and in an increasingly urgent sense of community," he added.

On Sunday, the Roman Ruins of Milreu will once again be the stage for another DiVaM initiative, with the show “+ Nature, the voice of the trees”, by TEL – Teatro Experimental de Lagos.

This is, according to the organization, a «participatory performance, which pays homage to the natural landscape and the trees as witnesses of human relations with the surroundings. The public is invited to co-create the show and to be part of an interactive game to re-establish the connection with the cycles of nature and the plant universe».

The second edition of the Ancient Music Festival “Sons D'Aquém Mar”, co-produced by the Questão Repetida and ARTIS XXI Associations, and hosted by the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, takes two concerts to the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, on the 14th and 20th of November.

The first concert takes place on Sunday, at 16 pm, with the Algarve Flute Consort “Dos Estrellas Le Siguen”. On the 00th of November, at 20 pm, the concert “Around Sweelinck”, Harpsichord Recital, with Cândida Matos, will take place.
