Piaget de Silves organizes colloquium on “Science and Religion at the Limit of Life”

Admission is free, but subject to registration.

A colloquium on “Science and Religion at the Limits of Life” will take place on October 15, at 9:00 am, in the auditorium of the Piaget de Silves Institute.

"The main objective is to make students and health professionals aware of the precepts of each religion/doctrine in matters relating to the threshold of life, in order to demystify prejudices and promote greater acceptance, favoring the process of health care, and leading to greater physical and mental comfort at the time of death,” says Piaget.

The colloquium will discuss issues related to the threshold of life according to the precepts of each religion/doctrine. In this context, leaders of different faiths will be invited, including Buddhism, Catholicism, Spiritism (Kardecism) and Umbanda (African-based religion), as well as health professionals, including nurses and physiotherapists who work in the areas of continuing care, palliative and oncology.

The detailed program can be found at website of the Piaget Institute.
