Docapesca undertakes further work at the fishing ports of Quarteira and Sagres

Global investment of around 84.400 euros

The work to install LED public lighting in the fishing port of Sagres has already been completed, while a tender has just been launched for the replacement of doors in the warehouses in the port of Quarteira, announced Docapesca.

Within the scope of improving the energy efficiency of the fishing port of Baleeira, in Sagres, with an overall investment value of 47 thousand euros, the intervention involved the installation of 56 luminaires that allow for a reduction of installed power by 60 percent. 42 globe-type luminaires and 14 projectors of the 20-meter lighting towers were replaced, leaving all elements with protection against birds.

The execution of the contract at the port of Quarteira (South Side) represents an investment of 37.365 euros and includes a series of interventions, namely the supply and assembly of iron doors and profiles, the coating of the movable leaves and the flag in stainless steel sheet AISI 316 and single point lock with double service handle.

Docapesca – Portos e Lotas, SA is an entity of the business sector of the State under the Ministry of the Sea, which aims to operate Fishing Ports and Auctions.
