São Brás de Alportel congratulates José Salgueiro, world runner-up in Downhill

City Council considers the athlete "an example and a reference"

José Salgueiro from São Paulo, world vice-champion of Downhill, in the category of 55-59 years, was received at the City Council, where he was congratulated for the «important result that dignifies the club XDream, which it represents, and the municipality of São Paulo. Brás de Alportel».

José Salgueiro, «pleased by the gesture of the land executive who welcomed him and who feels like his own», guarantees, according to the municipality, «that he will continue to work to improve and achieve his dream of being world champion in Downhill».

At 58 years old, «this São-Brasense athlete is an example and a reference that places São Brás de Alportel on the world map of the fiercest two-wheel sport competitions», concludes the municipality.
