InterMEDio starts today to bring MED rhythms to Loulé again

There will only be one stage with two concerts per night

O Intermediate Festival, which intends to rescue the essence of MED in times of pandemic, kicks off this Monday, August 23, in Loulé. Kumbia Boruka (Mexico), Virgo Suta, Fogo Fogo (Portugal/Cape Verde), Buba Espinho or Sílvia Pérez Cruz (Spain) are some of the highlights.

Over seven nights, the festival features a poster with artists from different musical backgrounds and from nine different nationalities. Tickets are already sold out.

«The interMEDio, like the MED Festival, also intends to combine music with the unique atmosphere of the historic area of ​​Loulé, where the architectural heritage with the narrow and winding streets and alleys take the visitor to the Mediterranean and all its cultural heritage». says the Chamber of Loulé.

Thus, the organization invites the public to experience a little of what Loulé has to offer, whether in terms of gastronomy, commerce or culture, suggesting a visit to emblematic points of the city such as the Municipal Market, the Castle, the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, the Archeology Museum or the Palácio Gama Lobo.

In terms of music, the Palco Cerca, located in the Cerca do Convento Espírito Santo, and where, throughout the 16 editions of the MED, great names and great concerts have already passed, will receive 14 artists this week in between. This will be the only stage of the festival with two concerts per night.

Kumbia Boruka (Mexico), Virgin Suta (Portugal), DakhaBrakha (Ukraine), Buba Espinho (Portugal), Tristany & Prétu (Portugal/Cape Verde), Sílvia Pérez Cruz (Spain), Moullinex (Portugal), Nuno Guerreiro (Portugal) , Paulo Flores (Angola), Clã (Portugal), Quinta do Bill Portugal invite Kátia Guerreiro, Rita Redshoes and Pedro de Castro (Portugal), Tiwiza (France/Algeria), Fogo Fogo (Portugal/Cape Verde) and Luca Argel (Brazil ) will bring «the joy and multiculturalism of world music to Loulé».
