Farense guarantees first point of the season with a draw at home

Gut's own goal “stole” the victory from the Algarve

This Sunday, the 15th, Farense secured the first point of the new football season, by tying, at home, at São Luís Stadium, in Faro, with Rio Ave, in a game of the 2nd round of the II League.

The two goals of the match were scored in the second half and were even both scored by players from the Algarve club. Thus, Fabrício Isidoro scored the first goal in the 49th minute. Rio Ave equalized shortly after, in the 54th minute, but through an own goal by Otávio Gut Oliveira.

Despite the bad luck, Jorge Costa's Farense managed to collect their first point, after the defeat suffered in the opening round, against Leixões.

In the next round, Farense will face Estrela da Amadora, in a game scheduled for Saturday, August 21st, at 21 pm.
