Farense entered the new season, in the II League, with a defeat, by 3-1, against Leixões. The team entered the game "losing", still tied, but Matosinhos' team regained the lead on the scoreboard and even expanded.

Leixões had a great entry into the field and, after 4 minutes, reached the goal. João Amorim crossed from the right and Hélder Morim, from the first, fired hard to make it 1-0.

Farense reacted and reached a draw in the 15th minute, by Elves Baldé. The winger took off at speed from the left, entered the area, took an opponent out of the way and shot for a draw.

In the 27th minute, despite the fact that we are still in the first round of the II League, Sapara must have scored one of the best goals of the season. Shortly after midfield, he saw Defendi's advance, and made a “chapelade” to Farense's goalkeeper.

In the second half, the Algarve raced to reach at least a draw, but even conceded another goal towards the end.

On minute 90, Jefferson Encada took advantage of Eduardo Mancha's passivity, took off for the area and watched Diogo Leitão for the final 3-1, which was not only 4-1, because Defendi, at the last moment, prevented another run by Encada ended in a goal.
