Lagoa Swimming School receives “Gold Quality” certification again

Certification was awarded by the Portuguese Swimming Federation

The Lagoa Municipal School of Aquatic Activities, located in the Municipal Swimming Pool Complex, received for the third consecutive year the “Gold Quality” certification, awarded by the Portuguese Swimming Federation.

The school was classified with «the highest and most important distinction awarded by this institution, corresponding to the gold category», begins by saying the municipality of Lagoa in a note sent to the editorial offices.

This assessment results from weighing parameters such as the number of users, training of teachers and other technicians involved, pedagogical methods, material resources, partnerships, management and planning processes, among others.

Luís Encarnação, Mayor of Lagoa, who is also responsible for Sports, congratulated the Municipal School of Aquatic Activities for confirming the certification and congratulated everyone involved.

The main objective of the Municipal Swimming Pools of Lagoa, given the pandemic situations, «is to maintain the quality of the offer of this equipment to the community and continue at the highest level of assessment with this classification of the Portuguese Swimming Federation», adds the municipality.

«Swimming classes as well as hydrogymnastics, fitness, various sports, adapted swimming, the multifunctional activity of jacuzzi, water jets, sauna and Turkish bath are the main components of the Lagoa Swimming Pools offer. The guaranteed high standard of hygiene also contributes to the recognized quality of this educating and inclusive equipment».

Registration for the Municipal Swimming Pools in Lagoa will be open from 9:00 am to 18:30 pm, from August 30th, from Monday to Friday.

On the 6th of September, Monday, the pools will resume their activity for free use, and the hours are from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 17:00 pm.

As from the 13th of September, water activities will be started for the population, from the age of nine months onwards.
