Cristiano Cabrita is number 2 on José Carlos Rolo's list of candidate for the Council of Albufeira

List by José Carlos Rolo, features Cristiano Cabrita, Cláudia Guedelha, Rogério Neto, Ana Cristina Pinto, Ana Mendonça and Cláudio Marujo, in the first seven positions

Cristiano Cabrita, president of the PSD/Albufeira and head of the Communication, Public Relations and International Relations Office of the Chamber of this Algarve municipality, is number 2 on the list headed by José Carlos Rolo, who is the current president of the municipality.

Cristiano Cabrita is also PhD in Political Science and International Relations, professor of International Relations at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, integrated researcher at CLIPIS – Lusíada Center for Research in International Politics and Security and associate researcher at CIEP – Research Center of the Institute of Political Studies of the Catholic University.

The lists of the Ser Albufeira coalition, which integrates PSD, CDS, PPM and MPT, and is a candidate for all municipal bodies in the municipality, was presented on the 6th, at an open-air ceremony in Vale Park Faro, right in the heart of the city. The session served to make the public presentation of the approximately 170 candidates who are part of the candidacy.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the CDS and PPM, respectively Mónica Ferreira and Daniel Leal, as well as David Santos, president of the PSD district.

The Honor Committee was also presented, which includes, for example, Rui Justo, president of the General Assembly of the APAL or Ana Vidigal, former independent councilor.

The campaign's agent, Paulo Freitas, stressed in his speech “the ability of José Carlos Rolo to think about the people of Albufeira, with a view to building a Albufeira with proposals and ideas for the present, but projecting the future”.

For her part, the fado singer Raquel Peters, mandatary of Culture, spoke of “respect and valuing our traditions”, as well as the “commitment to a policy of cultural development”, while Lara Rocha, mandatary for Youth, stressed “the support given to the young people, reiterating the vows of confidence to Professor Rolo, as he transmits confidence, transparency and total support to the population.”

Adriano Ferrão, current leader of the PSD bench in Albufeira and candidate for the presidency of the Municipal Assembly, referred to the “importance of the Municipal Assembly, in terms of knowing how to listen to its citizens, creating a line of political accountability”.

Candidates for the Parish Councils of the municipality – Indaleta Cabrita, who re-applies to the Parish Councils of Albufeira and Olhos de Água; João Vieira, candidate for the Guia Parish Council; Cláudia Cavaco, candidate for the parish of Ferreiras, and Valério Brito, candidate for the Parish Council of Paderne – presented their teams and defined their general lines, in favor of “concrete proposals to build a common Albufeira with commitment axes, based on the knowledge they have of the county”.

In the most awaited speech, José Carlos Rolo presented his team, in a mix of youth and continuity, composed of the novelty of Cristiano Cabrita, Cláudia Guedelha, Rogério Neto, Ana Cristina Pinto, Ana Mendonça and Cláudio Marujo, in the top seven positions.

He then presented his program with more than 100 proposals aimed at “transforming Albufeira into the best place in the world to live”. More education, health, environment, digital transformation, education, culture, circular economy, social support, mobility, sport and well-being, among others, are the pillars of the application condensed in a program entitled “Albufeira 100+”.

Recalling the “work done”, the now candidate followed a line of continuity in his speech, by reiterating his willingness to present “new, innovative projects, thought of a future for a Albufeira for people, a Albufeira as close as possible to the best place to live , work or visit all over the world”. “We need new ideas that can innovate and respond effectively to people's problems”, so “let's do it together”, urged the candidate.
