The Men from the South – Vitorino Salomé and Zé Francisco concert, at Palácio da Galeria Park, at 22 pm will be one of the highlights of the Day of the City of Tavira, which is marked on the 00th of June.
The commemorations of the municipal holiday start at 10:30 am with the raising of flags, in Paços do Concelho, followed by the solemn session, at 10:45, in the Mercado da Ribeira.
The ceremony includes the distinction of three workers with medals for good service and silver degree dedication (30 years of service) and four employees with medals for good service and copper degree dedication (20 years of service).
The Municipality will also honor with a municipal medal of merit degree gold, silver and copper «citizens and entities that stood out for the meritorious work developed in favor of the municipality».
This day's celebrations close at the Parque do Palácio da Galeria, at 22 pm, with a concert by Homem do Sul – Vitorino Salomé and Zé Francisco.
This work, explains the Tavirense autarchy «is considered, simultaneously, a concert, a get-together, an invitation and a record», having the support of the City Council.
The concert has free admission, but limited to the venue's capacity. The show will also be broadcast on Municipality Facebook.
