Municipality of Faro gives vouchers to all students in the county

More than 10 children will receive this additional support

More than 10 students will receive shopping vouchers with values ​​between 20 and 35 euros, as part of the campaign “Faro. We are All”, to support the acquisition of school supplies and encourage local commerce.

All students in pre-school, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles and secondary education from Faro, a total of 10.833 children and young people, will receive this additional support.

Os vouchers they can be used in the acquisition of school material in establishments in the municipality of Faro that are part of the initiative, as a way of encouraging better preparation for the next school year.

Alternatively, the vouchers may also be used to purchase foodstuffs, except alcoholic beverages.

This is a municipal investment in excess of 300 thousand euros that will include all public, private and cooperative education establishments in the municipality.

Preschool students will receive a voucher in the amount of 20 euros, while students in the 1st cycle will be entitled to a voucher of 25 euros. The 2nd and 3rd cycle students will receive a sum of 30 euros and, in turn, secondary school students will be entitled to a shopping voucher worth 35 euros.

This initiative is promoted in partnership between the Municipality of Faro and the Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve (ACRAL), the Commercial Development Association of the Historic Area of Faro, the Algarve Hotel and Similar Industry Association (AHISA) and the Baixa de Baixa Cultural and Activist Association Faro.

«This new campaign initiative “Faro. We are All" happens after the Municipality has already decided to support households with children attending pre-school and 1st cycle beneficiaries of Grade A and B with an identical stimulus, with very positive effects on the lives of these families", says the City Council of Faro.

At the same time, the municipality of Farense also reinforces the campaign “Faro. We are All", which has achieved "remarkable benefits with the establishments that adhere to the traditional commerce and in the stimulation of the circular economy of the county", having, until the beginning of May, generated a flow of over 4 million euros for the economy of the county.
