Jorge Molder exhibits “The strange substitute” at Associação 289

The exhibition “The strange substitute”, by Jorge Molder, will open this Friday, July 2, at 18 pm, at Associação 00, in Faro. 

Jorge Molder was born in Lisbon, in 1947. He lives and works in Lisbon and has a degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (1972).

Since 1977, the date of his first solo exhibition, he has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in prestigious galleries, art centers and museums, in Portugal and abroad.

He received the AICA/Portugal Prize (2006-2007) and the EDP/Arte Foundation Grand Prize (2010). He was a guest artist at the 22nd Bienal de S. Paulo (1994). He represented Portugal at the 48th Venice Biennale (1999) and his work is internationally represented in important contemporary art collections.

The exhibition will be open to the public until 26th August, from Thursday to Sunday, from 15:00 to 19:00.
