The Algarvians Gonçalo Ramos and João Virgínia can be crowned this Sunday, June 6th, European champions of U21 football. Portugal will dispute the final against Germany, starting at 20:00, and looking for an unprecedented triumph.

This is the only European title that (still) escapes Portugal's national teams, which makes today's game even more special for the two Algarve athletes.

Gonçalo Ramos, a native of Olhão and a Benfica player, has already scored a goal in this European Championship, in the quarter-final matches against Italy (win by 5-3).

As for João Virgínia, who started playing for Ferreiras, plays for Everton (England) and has already been crowned European champion in the under-17 and under-19 levels, he hasn't debuted at this European Championship yet.

The Portuguese goal has been handed over to Diogo Costa, FC Porto.

The final against Germany starts at 20:00 and will be broadcast on RTP1. It will be the third time that Portugal plays in the final of the U21 European Championship.
