17 applications for the creation of Ciência Viva Clubs in schools in the Algarve were approved

Groupings applied to CRESC Algarve 2020

17 applications were approved for the creation and operation of Ciência Viva Clubs in schools, submitted by school groups in the Algarve to a support line of the operational program CRESC Algarve 2020.

Altogether, groups of 10 municipalities in the Algarve will be supported (see full list below).

Within the scope of this initiative, activities that contribute to «the production of specialized technical content, the production of tools and digital content, the holding of meetings, seminars and workshops, and the carrying out of study visits and displacements» as well as «others ways of sharing knowledge, experiences and good practices between groups of non-grouped schools/schools», according to the Algarve's Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR).

«With these new Ciência Viva na Escola Clubs, the Algarve region will be covered with a network with better conditions to promote experimental science teaching and promote interaction between schools, higher education institutions, the scientific community and companies », added the same entity.
