Local authorities: Luís Gomes in VRSA, Álvaro Viegas in Olhão, Dinis Faísca in Tavira and Pedro Moreira in Lagos

The first four new names were announced by Rui Rio

Luís Gomes, in Vila Real de Santo António, Álvaro Viegas, in Olhão, Dinis Faísca, in Tavira, and Pedro Moreira, in Lagos. These are the first four new PSD municipal candidates from the Algarve that have just been officially announced by Rui Rio, the party's president, at a session in Coimbra.

In the case of Luís Gomes, it is a return, since the civil engineer is now singer of (some) success, was president of the same Chamber, until 2017, when, having reached the limit of three consecutive terms, he withdrew. At that time, its vice-president, Conceição Cabrita, also from the PSD, was elected, who, at the end of only this first term of office, announced, at the beginning of last February, he did not intend to apply again.

In Olhão, he advances as head of the list of social democrats Álvaro Viegas, lawyer, businessman, former president of the Algarve Trade and Tourism Association (ACRAL), where he currently chairs the General Assembly, the same position he holds at the Algarve Tourism Association (ATA).

To Tavira, advances Dinis Faísca, psychotherapist and chief of staff of the president of the neighboring Chamber of Castro Marim, the Social Democrat Francisco Amaral.

Finally, in Lagos, the businessman Pedro Palma Moreira, who is the current president of the Municipal Section of Lacobrigenses Social Democrats, appears as head of the PSD list to the Chamber.
