Nativity scenes «produced with different materials and inspirations», spread over different locations in the municipality of São Brás de Alportel, can be visited until tomorrow.

This year, the São Brás de Alportel Nativity Scene passes through the following exhibition sites: Museu do Traje; Parish Council; Santa Casa da Misericórdia; Parises Social Center; Head of the Velho Viewpoint Park; Alportel Museum Center; Corotelo Kindergarten; Volunteer Fire Brigade; Library; Machados Poets Park and Igreja Matriz.

"This exhibition of works results from the will of the community, associations, schools and local entities in a vivid representation of the Christmas spirit imbued with mutual help and fraternity among São Brasenses", according to the City Council of São Brás de Alportel.

«Among representations of the traditional Algarvian crib, the most modern versions of cribs are also present. There are miniature cribs, made of small figures, but also almost life-size figures, integrated into large and detailed scenarios, there are cribs with movement, but also with magic and a lot of enchantment», added the municipality.

All cribs are free to enter and are intended to enhance and preserve the tradition and meaning of Christmas, of union and sharing through these works, a symbol of brotherhood among the members of the community.
