Increase your team, develop your product and expand abroad. THE startup algarvia Logrise, headquartered in Lagoa, received an investment, in the midst of a pandemic, which will make the company grow.

Founded in 2018 by Ricardo Viegas and Nelson Maló, Logrise focuses on software development for the tourism and hospitality sector. The pair of Swedish investors (Carsten Jensen and Jesper Jensen) believed in the potential of this startup and, when they arrived in the Algarve through the Non-Habitual Resident program, they decided to bet on Logrise.

“We believe that several companies in the Algarve have international potential and, despite the pandemic, we know that there are businesses in continuous growth and Logrise is one of them”, says Carsten Jensen.

Investment in startup algarvia «will allow to bring more conditions to current employees, better products to current customers and the possibility of increasing the team. In addition, the product will be improved – the Amplifier -, being able to digitize traditional processes and optimize the artificial intelligence system.

In a statement, co-founder and CEO Ricardo Viegas said that Logrise intends to show that, «in a year marked by a pandemic and in a region socially battered by a huge unemployment rate, this investment is also good news for the region. It is possible to create a technology company with an international focus and create jobs».

Still, like many companies, Logrise suffered the impacts of the pandemic and was forced to adapt its response to the market, making it now more sought after by e-commerce stores or customers from various areas seeking to increase their sales. its profitability.

It was its main product – Amplifier – that attracted the attention of investors. This is an Artificial Intelligence based software for retail stores. E-commerce and small and medium enterprises. The solution will allow companies to increase sales and lower acquisition costs, through behavioral data that are parameterized by artificial intelligence.

For Ricardo Viegas, «the learning and internationalization process becomes more agile» with the knowledge and investment of two foreign entrepreneurs.

For now, the focus will be on the Scandinavian market, due to the proximity and knowledge of the most recent investors, but also Spain, France, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Logrise even has the ambition of, within two years, to be the benchmark technological company in the South of the country.

Ricardo Viegas concludes by saying that «this investment is the validation of the work done so far. Right now, we need to create and find the best professionals and we are ready to create as many jobs as needed. Only during the month of December we try to hire 10 more people and during the year 2021 keep the company's growth with people».
