The Chamber of Faro will offer, on Christmas Eve, 400 king cakes to GNR, PSP, INEM, Bombeiros Sapadores and Voluntários de Faro and to the Hospital.
The delivery of these cakes traditionally alluding to the Christmas season is a «form of recognition by the municipality for the extreme importance of the work, commitment, altruism and notion of public cause of the professionals of these entities in a year marked by a very difficult situation due to the pandemic crisis situation» , says the Chamber of Faro.
«This is a small gesture of gratitude from the Municipality towards some of the men and women who, throughout this year, were at the forefront of a fight that belongs to all, and who will also be of service to our Christmas is as safe as possible», said the mayor of Faro Rogerio Cod.
The Municipality of Faro invested 400 euros in the purchase of the 3.618 bolos reis, plus VAT at the legal rate in force.
