The VI International Poetry in the South Meeting starts on the 16th of October, in Olhão, bringing poets from various countries to the Algarve.
For 10 days, «knowledge and experiences with the public will be shared, in a year in which the event marks the centenary of the births of Amália Rodrigues and Egypt Gonçalves».
Given the current pandemic situation and the contingency measures issued by the Directorate-General for Health, the 2020 edition of Poesia a Sul will only take place in online format, without the physical presence of the public.
All activities will be broadcast on the Municipality's Facebook page, live or deferred.
The Municipality says that, despite the changes, "it tried, in this 6th edition, to maintain the level of quality and diversity to which this event has been getting used to the public".
