“Summer in Tavira” ends with fado by Ricardo Ribeiro

The use of a mask is mandatory.

The fado singer Ricardo Ribeiro closes the cultural program “Summer in Tavira” on August 29, at 22 pm, at Parque do Palácio da Galeria.

Since 2001, the fado singer has participated in national and international music festivals. In 2004, he released his first album and, in 2002 and 2011, he received the Male Revelation award from the Amália Rodrigues Foundation.

In 2008, together with the Lebanese lute player/composer Rabih Abou-Khalil, he recorded the album “Em Português”, which was elected top of the world album by the English magazine Songlines. In 2010, the work “Porta do Coração” received the same distinction and was certified gold.

In 2013, his fifth album “Largo da Memória” was released by the former EMI, currently Warner, a record that is also certified gold.

In April 2019, Ricardo Ribeiro presents his new work: “Respectful Mind” (Warner Portugal, 2019). In this project, the fado singer joined the Portuguese jazz pianist João Paulo Esteves da Silva and the American percussionist Jarrod Cagwin.

Tickets cost 5 euros and the proceeds will revert to the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) for the county's social solidarity institutions.

The use of a mask is mandatory and all the rules of the General Directorate of Health are complied with.

Tickets can be purchased every day from 20:00 pm to 23:00 pm, at Praça da República, or, on show days, in the square in front of Palácio da Galeria, from 20:00 pm to 23:00 pm.
