CCDR webinar talks about mobility and sustainable development

A webinar by the Algarve's Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), dedicated to mobility and sustainable development, will take place this Friday, July 3rd, from 11:00 am, with the participation of Manuela Rosa, professor at the University of Algarve. 

This initiative will talk about the “need to promote low-carbon urban and mobility systems and consider a set of integrated measures that focus on the diversity of modes and means of transport, with an emphasis on rail and soft modes, intermodality, research and technological development of low-carbon vehicles associated with digital technologies, traffic demand management through economic instruments and traffic control, shared and intelligent mobility, shared responsibilities and integrated land-use and transport planning" .

The webinar will take place on the Microsoft Teams platform.

CCDR Algarve, Associação In loco, Associação Terras do Baixo Guadiana and Vicentina – Association for the Development of the Southwest are partners in this Articulate for Intervir project.

The objective of the initiative is to «strengthen the capacities for the pursuit of an Integrated Territorial Development Strategy Vision for the Algarve in the 2030 horizon, aiming to deepen the critical factors of regional competitiveness and sustainability, in its different strategic dimensions – economic, social, environmental and governance -, transversal and complementary, based on new and old challenges and themes that matter in the affirmation of the Algarve».
