This Tuesday, 21 July, the Algarve's Gonçalo Ramos had a dream debut for Benfica's first team, scoring two goals in an eight-minute space, in the match against Desportivo das Aves.

The 19-year-old player, born in Olhão, only entered the 85th minute, launched by coach Nelson Veríssimo, but it was still time to score twice in the match.

In the 87th minute, Nuno Tavares hit a free-kick from the left and the young Benfica forward finished with his heel, debuting by scoring for the reds.

If the night already seemed to be memorable for Gonçalo Ramos, it was better at 90+3. In one of the last moments of the match, the Algarve came face to face with goalkeeper Sheytanov and scored twice in the match, right in the opening game.

In the end, the young Benfica forward was entitled to special words from captain Pizzi.

«To congratulate Gonçalo Ramos, he entered very, very well and scored two goals. It is important for the kids in the training to see the way in which Gonçalo entered, so that in the next opportunities they have they can show their value», he said.

With these two goals against Aves, Gonçalo Ramos scored, this season, for four different levels of Benfica: under-19, under-23, team B and main team.
