RTA launches a promotional campaign to remember that the Algarve «looks good» to tourists

Campaign started yesterday and will be intensified from Monday

“O Algarve Fica-te Bem” is the motto of the new promotional campaign by Turismo do Algarve, which started “with the objective of motivating not only national tourists, but also foreigners, to enjoy the 2020 summer holidays in the region”. announced the Algarve Tourism Region.

«Focused essentially on the advertising social media, the campaign features a motivational film starring one of the couples influencers of today's most successful international travels, Raquel and Miguel, two young Portuguese people passionate about travel and the Algarve, where they wanted the destination that they once knew each other and that love at first sight had happened».

The two protagonists of the campaign «return to the Algarve to share with the hundreds of thousands of followers of the Instagram page “@explorerssaurus_” unique experiences in exceptional places scattered throughout the region».

The publication "of the first of several bilingual posts (Portuguese and English)", on the Instagram page of the couple. influencers, was made yesterday, Thursday, and «in a few hours it has more than 40 thousand likes and half a thousand comments».

“Next week, the promotional film will then be released on social networks Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, where it will be promoted for a month in one of the biggest campaigns of social media adverting carried out by Turismo do Algarve», revealed the RTA.

 

 

 

In the video you can see «the long sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, in the middle of the Ria Formosa, or even more secluded and hidden beaches between the cliffs, in the Barlavento Algarve», but also «waterfalls, one of the treasures of the Algarve interior» , as well as «picturesque villages like Ferragudo, on the banks of the Arade river».

«We want to believe that everything that has happened in the last few months was just a pause, a break in our lives, and that after that moment, we will once again discover how well this Algarve is for us», illustrates João Fernandes, president of RTA.

«It is this invitation that we make to Portuguese and foreign tourists through social networks, who visit – or revisit – the region, who explore and enjoy the vast tourist offer of the destination, with proposals ranging from sun and sea to nature and nautical recreation, from culture to gastronomy and wines, without forgetting the fantastic hotel offer», he added.

The launch of this campaign comes meeting the expectations of businessmen and mayors in the region, namely the mayor of Albufeira, who, in statements to the Sul Informação, considered urgent a promotional action aimed at the internal market, in a year in which the Covid-19 pandemic is causing restrictions to mobility and fears in traveling.

Yesterday, the PSD came criticize the fact that the campaign is not yet out there.

RTA went further and created a campaign not only thinking about the national market, but also about the main markets that send tourists to the Algarve, «such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, France and Spain».

The new campaign “The Algarve is good for you” «follows the previous one, "Remember me. Algarve”, launched by Turismo do Algarve at the end of March on social networks to keep the destination in the top of mind of Portuguese tourists and appealing to return to their favorite holiday destination as soon as all the conditions of safety and well-being were met, in the certainty that the Algarve and the Algarve would remain in the same place to welcome them with open arms».
