Espaço Empresa, of the Municipality of Lagos, has been, since 28 May, providing mediated support to tour operators, as part of the application for the “Clean & Safe” seal.
Applications are now open for the “Clean & Safe” seal for the various economic sectors of local accommodation, tourist developments, tourist entertainment companies, travel and tourism agencies and food and beverage establishments.
Companies wishing to obtain the seal "Establishment Clean & Safe" must comply with the set of provisions contained in the "Declaration of Commitment" which is available on the digital platforms of Turismo de Portugal relating to the registration of tourist companies, and only after submitted, is that they are given the possibility of using the Seal in question, either on their physical premises or on the channels and platforms for dissemination and sale.
Through this initiative, Turismo de Portugal intends to provide companies and professionals with information on the minimum measures necessary for social distance, hygiene and cleanliness of establishments, but above all, «promote Portugal as a safe destination, from the point of view of care to be observed. for a coherent and effective maintenance of conditions that prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, in concerted action, with the involvement of professionals and companies in the sector and calling for everyone's responsibility. At the same time, it encourages the recovery of the sector at national and international level, reinforcing confidence in the destination of Portugal and its tourist resources».
This recognition is valid for one year, is free and optional, and requires the implementation in companies of an internal protocol that, in accordance with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health, ensures the necessary hygiene to avoid contagion risks and guarantees the safe procedures for the functioning of tourist activities.
The Business Space of the Municipality of Lagos has been in operation since May 2018 and brings together, in a single location, several services provided by the local and central administration, being available from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 17:00 pm, for support agents in the aforementioned application.
