Other museums reopen on other dates

The Portimão, Traje de São Brás de Alportel and Tavira Museums reopen on Monday, May 18, International Museum Day, after the period in which they had their (physical) doors closed due to the containment measures by Covid. 19.

«Little by little, in the coming weeks, we will see the resumption of activities by all the Museums», announced the Algarve Museum Network (RMA).

The museum structure of Tavira, which includes the Palácio da Galeria, with the exhibition “A Principal do Reino do Algarve – Tavira in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries”, and the Islamic Nucleus, still presents its reopening as “subject to confirmation”.

Before that, tomorrow, the 15th, but only during the morning, the Cacela Heritage Research and Information Center (CIPPC) will open, located in Santa Rita (Vila Real de Santo António).

For its part, the Centro Ciência Viva de Tavira should reopen its doors on 26 May.

As for the Municipal Museum of Faro, Regional Museum of the Algarve (in Faro), Municipal Museum of Loulé, as well as Municipal Museum of Olhão and Casa João Lúcio should reopen on a date «to be indicated soon».
