EHTA opens virtual doors to make itself known at an Open Day

Algarve Hotel and Tourism School did not want to miss one of the «most important events of the year»

The Algarve Hotel and Tourism School will hold its traditional Open Day on Thursday, the 23rd, this time, virtually. Despite not welcoming visitors to its space, the school based in Faro , will not fail to make itself known to students and teachers from schools in the region.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions it imposes, the EHTA board did not want to miss this day, one of "the most important for the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School", as it traditionally hosts "hundreds of students and teachers from schools in the Algarve region to get to know the world that boils inside the school».

This time, the action will take place on the pages of Facebook e Instagram of the EHTA, "where varied contents will be published about the school, the different courses and all the relevant information about the career possibilities that its training offer can provide", according to the educational establishment.

The option for a digital format requires more creativity, but according to EHTA director Paula Vicente “this is also a preferential channel to reach many young people who are now in social isolation, but who have aspirations and eyes set on the future. Very soon they will want to make decisions for their professional life and we want to be part of that life project. Tourism continues to be our main activity in the region and in the country and it will come out rejuvenated and stronger after this situation».

The idea is that the virtual link that will be created at the Open Day with young people will lead to, «soon, many will be students entering, for the first time, the doors of the school».
