The Home of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Boliqueime, where 11 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed last week, will start this afternoon to be disinfected, in charge of the Emergency Intervention and Protection Brigade of the National Republican Guard.
The arrival of this specialized GNR brigade, which will disinfect the 2nd floor of the home, will be accompanied by Secretary of State José Apolinário, in his new functions of coordinator of the implementation of the Declaration of the State of Emergency in the Algarve, a kind of Civil Governor of the present time.
In the afternoon, José Apolinário will also visit the Municipal Command Post of Portimão, as well as one of the four ZAP installed in that municipality.
In the morning, the coordinator accompanied, together with the mayor of Olhão, the entrance of the team of Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC), who went to the Home for the Elderly “D. Maria Lizarda Palermo”, from Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Moncarapacho, to carry out Covid-19 tests for users and employees of that institution.
Afterwards, he visited the Municipal Command Post of Olhão, installed in the local Fire Department, as well as the Population Support Zone, in the “Os Olhanenses” pavilion.
Finally, Apolinário should now be visiting the Municipal Command Post of Olhão and the ZAP installed in the Escola Basica Integrada Prof. Dr. Aníbal Cavaco Silva, in Boliqueime.
