Works improve the outpatient and inpatient area of the Private Hospital of Gambelas

HPA will invest in refurbishment works

The Private Hospital of Gambelas, in Faro, will be the target of remodeling works that will bring «considerable benefits to its activity, in the area of the clinic and internment».

This health unit, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in December, has experienced strong growth, which «has created in the Administration the need to redesign and expand some spaces, in order to allow a more functional and comfortable response», according to the Hospital Particular do Algarve group.

"The zero floor, where the external consultations work, will undergo changes regarding the allocation of some spaces for the different specialties, but it will be on the 2nd floor, that these changes will be more significant and observable, with the emergence of a new block of facilities" , he added.

The decision to proceed with these works “is due not only to the substantial growth of some services, but also to the renovation of some equipment, which in themselves need adapted spaces”.

To cope with this remodeling, a large part of the administrative and financial services will be housed in adjacent buildings, but external to the unit, in order to free up spaces for care activities.

«With this remodeling, we believe to improve the functioning of some specialties with special exams, such as gastroenterology and urology, but also more multipurpose consultation offices and a remodeled space for women's health. The Oncology Day Hospital will also gain a new place, giving the current one to another internment. Finally, we will install one more magnetic resonance imaging, again in a place until now administrative», summarized the HPA.

“We believe that this refurbishment will bring substantial benefits to our customers, especially in terms of hospitality and comfort. In terms of assistance, our employees will also gain more functional and spacious spaces, with greater possibility of growing their activity, which for some specialties may be over 30%», concluded the Algarve company.
