«Atmós» by Bruno Gonçalves wins prize at the Oniros Film Awards

Timelapse video was made from 18 thousand photos

The video «Atmós» (from the Greek ἀτμός, which means water vapor, gas…), produced by Bruno Gonçalves, the young Algarve tornado hunter, and launched by the website Extrematmosfera, has just won in the category of “Best Film with less than 5 minutes”, at the Oniros Film Awards festival, in December.

Bruno Gonçalves, contacted by Sul Informação, said that his "first reaction is one of surprise". "It is a great pride to see my work being recognized internationally, in a festival that receives hundreds of videos in the competition, and in a technique (timelapse) not very common in the competition," he added.

The young director stressed that, in terms of the future, this award “will bring at least some more visibility to the video itself and to the work I have been developing in this area”.

After this award obtained in relation to the candidate films in December, the video «Atmós» is now a candidate for the annual Oniros Film awards.
