The band Nouvelle Vague, Pedro Abrunhosa and the ballet Quebra-Nozes will be playing at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, during the month of December.

The last month of the year is marked by the concert celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Nouvelle Vague, «one of the most beloved bands in the Portuguese public», scheduled for tomorrow, the 3rd, at 21 pm.

Also in music, the highlight is the concert by Pedro Abrunhosa and the Committee Caviar, scheduled for December 20, in which the well-known singer from Porto will present his latest album, the album “Espiritual” – a show whose tickets have been sold out for a long time.

The December program of Teatro das Figuras is also marked by the investment in dance. On Saturday, the 7th, the contemporary dance piece “Diz-me António” will premiere, a show with artistic direction by Armando Correia, Carolina Cantinho and Pedro Pinto, inspired by the work of the Algarve poet António Aleixo, co-produced by Rede Azul – Algarve Theater Network.

Between the 12th and the 15th, it will be the turn of the Companhia de Dança do Algarve, which will stage the classical ballet Nutcracker, a piece that premiered in 1892, with music by Piotr Tchaikovsky and libretto by Ernst Hoffman.

From the program of the month that began yesterday, Teatro das Figuras also highlights the work that will be carried out by its educational service.

On the 11th, «The Words to Solta cycle promotes a get-together on A Felicidade Não Se Compra, by Frank Capra. On the 17th and 19th the stage will be the theater, with “A Princesa Pé de Gesso e Patapatúm”, a show that won the Galician María Casares award for “Best Children's Show 2019”.

Before the end of the year, there is still space for a Magic Workshop, with Ângelo DeVal, on the 18th and 19th.
