An Introduction to Management workshop, specifically aimed at cultural associations, members and association leaders, will take place from today until the 25th of November, in the rehearsal room of the Folha de Medronho association, in Largo de São Francisco, 12, in Loulé.
This training, which will be guided by the manager Fernando Santos, at the invitation of Folha de Medronho – Performing Arts, was born taking into account «the existing gap with regard to legal and mandatory procedures for the constitution and management of an associative collective», according to the Chamber of Loulé.
The workshop curriculum includes «teaching issues such as the identification of potential funding bodies (such as the Municipality, the General Directorate of Arts, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, among others), as well as, for example, the preparation of budgets aiming at the financing of associative activities».
In other words, «it's about transmitting elementary notions of management in the elaboration and monitoring of projects for artistic creators and those responsible for cultural collectives, as well as for simple curious and interested associates».
The Introduction to Management Workshop takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 19:30 pm to 21:30 pm, «the timetable may, however, be adjusted according to the commitments of the trainees who apply».

The cost per person is 10 euros for members of Folha de Medronho and for members of other associations in Loulé, duly accredited, and 20 euros for other interested parties.
