The construction works of a new campsite in Praia de Faro should no longer start on October 1st, as planned, because Provisional Provision that was presented by the Association of Users and Friends of the Praia de Camping Park Faro (AUAPPCF).
In statements to the Sul Informação, the mayor of Faro Rogério Bacalhau revealed that he received the notification from the court yesterday, Thursday, and that “it will probably be difficult to start on October 1st”, the next Tuesday.
«The notice of the Provisional Measure was delivered to the Chamber today [yesterday, the 26th], but I haven't seen it yet, because I was away. I have yet to see the deadlines, but it will probably be difficult to start on the 1st of October as we now have a period to present our allegations and later there will be a decision. As far as I know, he entered the court on Thursday of last week», said the Farense mayor.
The court action was filed by the AUAPCPF, which refuses to leave the space because, allegedly, the Chamber of Faro did not create the necessary conditions for this purpose.
This is despite the fact that the lending contract that framed the permanence of current users in the park was terminated more than a year ago and a period well above what is required by law was given for users to remove their belongings.
