The show “Canções de Roda, Lenga Lengas and Others que Tais” will bring together, this Sunday, September 22, at 17 pm, Sérgio Godinho, Ana Bacalhau, Vitorino, Jorge Benvinda and the Grupo Coral Infantil de Loulé, on the stage of the Cine- Theater.
This initiative is a «surprising incursion into our children's songbook and popular heritage (with new arrangements) or inspired by it», explains Câmara de Loulé.
«Among circular songs, stories, spiels, we are led to travel back to our childhood, capable of awakening the most distant memories and feeling the emotions of that time», he says.
“More than that, this will be the vehicle for the little ones (who are now children, nephews or grandchildren) to relive with their elders those stories and songs that were danced, jumped, and fencing, which created incredible dreams”, he adds.
These interpreters were joined by Filipe Raposo and Cláudia Guerreiro.
For António Manuel Guimarães, artistic director of the Festival Sol da Caparica (where this show premiered) and responsible for the commission, «many still remember the circle songs we sang and danced in the streets, school yards, with our family and friends, whether in the countryside or in the city».
The show lasts approximately 90 minutes and is aimed at people over six years old.
Tickets cost 14 euros, a value that drops to 12 euros for those over 65 and under 30 years of age. The Friend Card is applicable to this event.
