CIMBAL welcomes European project partners

The project has partnerships with entities from Italy, Croatia, France and Spain

The Intermunicipal Community of Baixo Alentejo (CIMBAL) will receive, this Thursday and Friday, 19 and 20 September, partners of the European project Prominent Med.

This Thursday, the 19th, there will be a meeting of the project team in Mértola, and visits will also be carried out to the two projects financed through this program: “Implementation of Energy Efficiency Solutions in the buildings of the Paços do Concelho de Mértola and the Services Building of Mértola Serpa City Council”.

On the 20th, at CIMBAL's headquarters, in Beja, a workshop will take place, under the theme “Public Procurement and Innovation”, where the various international experiences on the versatility of innovative public procurement will be shared.

This Prominent Med project benefits from community funding from the Interreg Med program and the partnership is also made up of entities from Italy, Croatia, France and Spain.

The project focuses on the use of public procurement for the acquisition of innovation (PPI), in order to encourage the adoption of innovative products and services that contribute to improving the quality of public services. In our case, the application of public procurement used the figure of “competitive dialogue” to choose the best solutions for the two pilot projects.
