Bruno Afonso and Marco Apura go on to the semi final in C2 1000

Canoeist from Mértola and his teammate from Crestuma managed to qualify for the semi final

Bruno Afonso and Marco Apura, in C2 1000, go on to the semi-final, with sixth place in their tie, going to dispute on Friday access to the final in Szeged, Hungary.

The pair formed by the canoeists from the Mértola nautical clubs ee de Crestuma this morning completed their tie without much effort, since halfway through they stopped fighting for the first places.

On Friday afternoon, the best three of each series will pass to the final: in the case of the C2 1000, there are eight vessels with direct entry to Tokyo2020.

Also at the Canoeing World Championships taking place in Hungary, Fernando Pimenta started today the defense of the world title of K1 1000, achieving the first place in his tie.

Access to the final, which qualifies the top five for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, is disputed on Friday afternoon in three semi-finals, in which the three strongest qualify.
