“Creactivity” educational project arrives in Portimão on wheels

Creactivity bus started by being in Tavira, then it went to Olhão, to Faro, to Albufeira and now Portimão

The Creactivity bus, designed by BPI and the “la Caixa” Foundation, will visit Portimão from 15 to 19 July.

Parked in the Portimão Riverside Zone and in co-organization with the City Council and the Port of Portimão, the Creactivity traveling space will offer educational resources, activities and programs to the educational and family community, with the aim of promoting the development of children's skills, young people, adults, seniors and people with disabilities.

The project aims to encourage the ability to design and develop original solutions to simple problems. School-age children and young people participate in workshops with everyday materials and tools with different degrees of technology to bring their own ideas to life.

The Creactivity project takes place on a bus that becomes a fully adapted mobile unit for people with reduced mobility, facilitating both access and participation throughout the activity. The vehicle is equipped with benches, work tables and various tests for children.

The workshops are aimed at young people between 6 and 16 years old, who will be accompanied by a monitor through a process of creation in which adults are also invited to participate. Sessions have an estimated duration of 90 minutes, with free sessions of 90 minutes per group (25 users approximately).

Creactivity is one of the activities launched by EduCaixa and is aimed at school groups (primary and secondary education), families, elderly groups and also other collectives or associations (people with disabilities, among others).

Through an innovative learning context inspired by the Tinkering movement of the San Francisco Exploratorium, Creactivity proposes to find original solutions to simple problems, encouraging people to be creative and to learn from their mistakes, thus enhancing innovation through experimentation and critical thinking and creative.

The space will allow you to investigate, face concrete challenges, think of solutions, be inspired, share, collaborate, improvise, work in groups and much more.

In Spain, in less than a year of activity, the Creactivity bus has already been visited by more than 32 thousand participants. The Creactivity bus started by being in Tavira, then it went to Olhão, to Faro, to Albufeira and now Portimão, among other Algarve locations.
