Students from the Netherlands traveled as part of the Erasmus+ project “Human Impacts @ Coastal Ecosystems”.

Three students from the Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes School Group (AEFFL), from Olhão, traveled to Mascalucia, Sicily, Italy, between the 5th and 11th of May, to present the results of the work carried out on the Support Services of the Ria Formosa ecosystem for students from Spain, Greece, Latvia, Bulgaria and Italy.

Carolina Ribeiro (10ºA), Mateus Cruz (10ºA) and Rui Viegas (10ºE), accompanied by professors Óscar Ribeiro and Lúcia Palma, went to Italy in a new student mobility under the Erasmus+ project “Human Impacts @ Coastal Ecosystems”.

“Students participated in collaborative workshops and field trips on the theme of the biodiversity of coastal ecosystems and the human impact on them”, according to the AEFFL.

Young people from Olho also had the opportunity “to get in touch with other cultures, to acquire more knowledge about coastal ecosystems and to develop skills in the English language and in citizen science”.
