Project is a pioneering experience in Europe,

The financing instruments within the scope of the “Portugal Inovação Social” project will be presented this Thursday, April 4th, at 10:00 am, in the Main Hall of Vila Real de Santo António.

The measure is a public initiative, promoted by the Secretary of State for Regional Development, and has an allocation of 2,5 million euros to finance social innovation projects in the region, originating from CRESC Algarve.

The action will be promoted by Francisco Fragoso, regional representative of Social Innovation, and will also have the presence of the councilor of the VRSA autarchy with the responsibility of associations Carla Sabino.

The activity is intended to disseminate and clarify doubts to potential promoters of social innovation initiatives in all municipalities in the Algarve.

The project represents a pioneering experience in Europe, as Portugal is the only Member State that has set aside part of the community funds, until 2020, to try out new financing instruments that aim to foster innovation and social investment.
