Heritage Defense Association promotes conferences on the history of Aljezur

“Aljezur in Time and in History” is the theme of the conference cycle that the Association for the Defense of the Historical and Archaeological Heritage of Aljezur is promoting again this year, in partnership with the four parishes of the municipality.
 
The main objective of these conferences is «the sharing of knowledge through a broad and diversified theme, with a view to raising awareness and sensitizing the population to the appreciation of its history and heritage, where at the end of each session the participants have the opportunity to interact with the speakers», explains the association.
 
The holding of these conferences by the parishes aims to decentralize the activity carried out by this association throughout the territory of the Municipality of Aljezur.
 
These conferences have, since their inception, with the scientific collaboration of the researcher José António Martins, «without which it would not have been possible for this project to become a reality».
