Sérgio Godinho and the Orquestra Clássica do Sul come together, this Saturday, December 8, for a concert at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, in Loulé.
In addition to the themes of the new album “Nação Valente”, Sérgio Godinho will also sing unavoidable themes from his musical career, such as “O Primeiro Dia”, in an unprecedented stage meeting with the Orquestra Clássica do Sul.
This return of Sérgio Godinho to the Cine-Teatro Louletano is «motivated by a challenge launched by the artistic programming of the Theater», explains Câmara de Loulé.
«The challenge was accepted and the expectations are huge, not least because, as early as 2016, Sérgio Godinho had already collaborated with local musicians during the concert with the Ensemble de Flautas de Loulé, which was also an innovative and unexpected proposal», he adds.
And if the path of the "songwriter" has been marked throughout his career by frequent visits to Loulé, this invitation has special characteristics as it will enable a new approach to his work, giving (more) a new life to the songs that have accompanied us for decades.
And what better time to do it than in the year in which you publish “Nação Valente”, your 18th studio work?
«After all, looking at Godinho's work is also discovering a significant part of our experience, of our daily lives, of love, struggles, losses and joys. A nation, necessarily brave, made of life», says the Loulé autarchy.
«For this presentation with these exceptional musicians, he called the best and the best of those who have accompanied him in recent years – for the orchestral arrangements and also the special participation on the piano by Filipe Raposo».
On stage, the most recent songs that make up the album will certainly be joined by others, less recent, more and less known.
Ticket prices are 14 euros, rising to 12 euros for people over 65 and under 30 years of age. The Friend Card is applicable to this event. Tickets can be purchased. here
The show lasts approximately 90 minutes and is aimed at people over 6 years old, with free entry, subject to room availability, young people aged 18 or over 18 this year under the “És Cultura 18!” project.
