Registration for Climate Change Olympics is already open for schools in the Algarve

The initiative is part of AMAL's Intermunicipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change

Registration for the Climate Change Olympics is open until the 31st of October and they want to captivate students from schools in the Algarve to the importance of this topic.

These Olympics, held within the scope of the Intermunicipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change of AMAL – Intermunicipal Community of the Algarve, are a competition in which primary and secondary education students, or equivalent, from schools in all municipalities in the Algarve can compete.

This initiative invites students and teachers to explore various issues related to climate change, in a playful and educational way, through two distinct phases.

In the first, the groups will have to answer a theoretical test, made available after registration. On Monday, after passing the previous test, the groups will have to present a short video (with a maximum of 2 minutes) on the topic of Climate Change. Groups must have two to five students, with supervision by a teacher.

The Climate Change Olympics are part of a set of activities aimed at bringing this issue to the population of the Algarve, as well as communicating and disseminating AMAL's Intermunicipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change and its results.
