The only proposal accepted in the tender for the realization of the Tourist Development Center (NDT) of the Municipality of Faro, which provides for the creation of a maximum of 1030 beds, outside the city, will be opened in a public session, scheduled for tomorrow, September 26, at 10 am, in the Paços do Concelho de Faro.
In this session, the envelopes associated with this proposal will be opened. Anyone can attend, but only “the competitors and their representatives can intervene, as long as they are duly accredited”.
«After the public act, the jury of the procedure will finalize the analysis of the proposal so that the municipality can consider the conclusion of the contract for the elaboration of a detailed plan and consequent execution, by indirect management, of a Center for Tourism Development in the municipality of Faro», according to the Farense Chamber, which promoted the contest.
The NDT of Faro «it does not have a previously defined location, covering the areas of the municipality that are located outside the urban perimeters, in all four parishes».
The beds can only be installed "in integrated tourist complexes, for example, of a low-density resort type, which should also have an environment of green spaces and an associated complementary offer".
The proposal that will be opened tomorrow has already been in public consultation twice. After a first consultation period, which ended in May, the Chamber opened a new phase of public scrutiny, which ended on July 2nd.
