O Tourist Development Center (NDT) of the municipality of Faro, which provides for the creation of a maximum of 1030 beds, outside the city, will be subject to a new public consultation from 2 July.

This nucleus does not have a previously defined location, covering the areas of the municipality that are located outside the urban perimeters, in all four parishes.

This NDT is assigned a maximum number of 1030 beds, to be installed in integrated tourist complexes, by way of example, of the type resort of low density, which should also have an environment of green spaces and an associated complementary offer.

The accepted proposal and the qualification report regarding the admission were subject to public consultation, ending on the 17th of May, for the formulation of suggestions and for the presentation of information on any issues.

However, after this period, "it was felt the need to carry out a new consultation, which will then start on July 2nd and end on July 27th", explains the Chamber of Faro.

The hearing of interested parties regarding this procedure will take place from the 30th of July. The request for a hearing or the formulation of written observations should be addressed to Rogério Bacalhau, president of the Chamber of Faro, with the identification and contact address of the authors, within five days from the end of the consultation period.

The elements of the accepted proposal may be consulted at the Facilities of the Department of Infrastructure and Urbanism of the City Council of Faro, at Largo de São Francisco, 8004-142 Faro, from 9:00 am to 16:00 pm, and at Municipality's website on the Internet.
